The proponent submitted a request stating that the purpose of the excavation of earth is for public purpose that is for Cochin Refinery and the work had already completed and requested to revise the condition as “public purpose” and requested to extend the EC since the validity expired on 01-05-2020. The Authority (104th SEIAA) noted that proponent could not carry out mining operations for the excavation of ordinary earth for public purpose as stated in EC since the work had already been completed. The proponent may be asked to give a fresh request for extension of EC stating the purpose, where he intends to use the mined earth and consent letter from user agency. |
